Q. Where and when do we play and train?
We play in the Winter Saturday competition and are an affiliated club within the Randwick Netball Association (RNA) at Heffron Park, Fitzgerald Rd Maroubra (Between Anzac Pde and Bunnerong Rd).
Most teams train at Heffron Park and we are allocated courts by RNA.
Note some members play in other social competitions eg summer or night competitions but our club is not operate outside of the RNA Winter Competition so players do not play as RRNC teams in these competitions and our club does not provide equipment, coaches or umpires.
We are offering Squad Training sessions for Intermediates & Senior teams - click here for more information.
We are also offering Netball Fitness sessions with a qualified PT. These are paid sessions and can be booked via our sponsor Team Netball - click here for more informationQ. How do I find the court I'm playing on?
See the Court Layout map below - please note that Courts 28 to 34 are now hard courts and not grass.
Q. When does the Day Competition start?
The Competition for 10 years and older will start on 2 MAY 2020 and runs for 14 rounds, then 10 years and older have semis, finals and grand finals.
For NetsetGo teams games commence 9 May 2020 and runs for 14 rounds with a Gala Day included.
Q. Where and when is training?
All 8 – 15 years and Intermediates train once a week, and some Senior teams chose to train. Most teams train at Heffron Park courts during the week, occasionally teams will make other arrangements. It is recommended that young teams train after school before dark. Any teams wanting to train after 5:00pm need to notify RRNC Secretary so courts with lights can be booked.
Due to the large number of RRNC teams we do not have a set “training day” – training days and times will be set by the team coaches once the teams are selected and graded.
We are introducing a Squad Training session for any 15 years plus players that want to train for fitness and skills. Day/s times to be confirmed. It will be a mixed group session with a fitness circuit and skill drills for
- players whose team does not train but they wish to
- extra training if your team trains
Q. What times are the games?
Each year match times are allocated by RNA and based on the number of overall teams entered and the court space available. With the anticipated increase in numbers again in 2020 expect times to change again this year (an extra time had to added in 2019).
Below are times of the 2019 fixtures. Note that age group divisions were split over different times. The afternoon times 2:10pm and 3:30pm alternate each week - even and odd numbered Divisions swap over times each week.
