NETBALL NSW COVID-19 RETURN TO TRAINING NEWS -  UPDATE 19 MAY 2020

On Friday 15 May the NSW Public Health (COVID-19 Restrictions on Gathering and Movement) Order (No 2) 2020 came into effect which allows for gatherings of up to 10 people. This will enable netball training to re-commence, however still without any body contact drills.

Importantly, Associations are advised that the restrictions applied to netball allow for a maximum of 10 people on a court at any one time. This includes players plus any coaches, parents, spectators, etc. The 10 person per court limit can not be exceeded at any time.

Randwick Netball Association (RNA) is currently working with Randwick Council to get completed procedures prepared, this will take some time, as it will need to incorporate many other factors such as entrance and exit points, gathering numbers, sanitization stands etc. So for the time being we will not be holding scheduled team training at Heffron Park until advised by RNA. Members can however train in any public space in line with the current Restrictions on Gathering and Movement.

Netball NSW has created a simple one-page summary of the restrictions which apply to returning to training with 10 person groups. Also available is an info-graphic which summarises the Guidelines for Netball Activity under the 10 person restrictions.

Your RRNC Committee

Welcome to Randwick Rugby Netball Club

Randwick Rugby Netball Club was established in 1964 and today is the largest netball club in the local district. Our continued growth will see us field 77 teams in 2020, ranging from Net Set Go through to A1 grade teams. We are proud to say that in 2019 we had 21 teams in Grand Finals with 8 Premiers and 13 Runners Ups. On the representative level again we had many players, coaches, managers and umpires represent Randwick Netball Association - too many to list here so please click here to see our recent Representative Lists.

Each year many of our members are chosen to represent the local district Randwick Netball Association in State competitions as players, managers and coaches. RRNC members have gone on to elite level netball to represent NSW and Australia or play and coach in the Suncorp Super League. To see more about our proud history please go to CLUB HISTORY page.

Our club is run by a dedicated and enthusiastic team of volunteers and with a club this size it takes many hands to organise getting so many teams registered, team uniforms sorted, teams graded, then coached and umpired through the season. We are very fortunate to have so many community minded and generous players, parents, family and friends that volunteer to help each week.

Randwick Rugby Netball Club has a proud tradition of inclusion and accepts players of all standards. We welcome novice players and social players as well as cater for the more competitive player and representative players. Our teams from 10 years and older are graded by ability to ensure teams are placed at a suitable competition level so everyone develops and enjoys their netball. We do accept friendship groups and whole teams in line with our Grading Policy please see our REGISTRATION and GRADING pages for details.
